Project Goal

To introduce a Ukrainocentric approach to national historiography, in which Ukrainians are presented not only as a historical ethnos but also as creators of their own civilization through an autochthonous national state.

Target Audience

The project is primarily aimed at individuals interested in history who understand the need to develop their own Ukrainocentric perspective on past and present events, as well as to form a corresponding historical logic. The target audience is generally unlimited, encompassing everyone who wishes to know their history and identify themselves primarily as Ukrainian, rather than relying on various concepts crafted for us in foreign capitals (mostly in the East).

Main Project Objectives

The project aims to create the first encyclopedia of the first Ukrainian national state, the Zaporozhian Host, as a precursor to further national state-building in Ukraine. This is a fundamentally new approach to shaping our historiography, where significant attention will be given not to isolated facts or events but to the logic behind those events and the interests of the participants in the context of building a modern Ukrainian state for its time.

Project Implementation Stages

In the first stage, a series of historical programs was launched, which have been and continue to be broadcast on the i-ua.tv channel. These programs are primarily aimed at presenting Ukrainians as a nation capable of state-building, with the potential to create their own civilization, rather than as a group of brave but reckless individuals incapable of strategic self-organization—a narrative often exploited by our perennial enemies. In our programs, Ukrainians are depicted primarily as creators of their own state, but this state is not the ultimate goal of their aspirations. It is merely a tool for realizing their civilizational ambitions, which are an integral part of global civilization. Such a Ukrainocentric approach is critically lacking in shaping our foreign and domestic policies today. These programs will complement the textual content of the encyclopedia, giving the facts presented therein a broader publicistic resonance.

In the second stage, the production of programs will be combined with the preparation of academic articles on the i-ua.tv portal.

Expected Outcome

The project will result in the creation of the first encyclopedia of the first Ukrainian national state, the Zaporozhian Host, and the development of a distinctly Ukrainocentric approach to understanding historical logic and evaluating specific events. This will establish the first Ukrainocentric concept of our historiography, which, unfortunately, still remains largely moscovite-centric with elements of other «centricities» that serve moscow’s interests.
